Equipment & vehicles

Equipment · Keep your driving licence, your cars and your own gear in your profile, so the band knows what is available when planning gigs.

What it's for

In the Transport & gear part of your profile you say whether you can drive, which cars you have and what equipment you own. Your cars are offered when someone plans gig transport, and bandmates can look up who has what on your member page.

When to use it

  • You have a car the band could use for gigs.
  • You want the band to know you can (or can't) drive.
  • You own instruments, amps, lights or a trailer the band might need.
  • You are planning a gig and want to know who has a car or gear.

How to

Add your driving licence and cars

  1. Open your profile and go to the Transport & gear tab.
  2. Turn on I have a driving licence and can drive if it applies to you.
  3. Under My vehicles, select Add vehicle and fill in Make, Model, Seats and Cargo space (for example "big boot, roof box").
  4. Select Save at the bottom of the page.

Result: Your cars are offered under Members' cars when someone plans transport for a gig in any of your bands.

List your own equipment

  1. In your profile, on the Transport & gear tab under My equipment, select Add item.
  2. Enter the Item (for example "Marshall JCM800"), choose the Category and add Notes if needed.
  3. Select Save.

Result: The item is listed on your member page. It is for information – it isn't added to gig equipment lists automatically.

See who has a car or gear

  1. Open Members and select a member.
  2. Open the Transport & gear tab.

Result: You see whether they can drive, their cars with seats and cargo space, and their equipment.

Use a member's car for a gig

You need: The Plan gig logistics & crew permission.

  1. Open the gig's logistics (Logistics card → Edit or Plan logistics).
  2. In Transport, open Members' cars and pick the car.
  3. The car is added with its owner as the Driver and its number of Seats. Assign passengers under Who rides where and select Save.

Result: The owner sees "You're driving" in My logistics. More in Gig logistics.

Permissions and limits

  • Only you can change your licence, cars and equipment.
  • Your bandmates in all your bands can see them (on the Transport & gear tab of your member page). Seeing member pages needs View members – Dep / Guest doesn't have it by default.
  • Adding a member's car to a gig needs Plan gig logistics & crew (Band Admin, Band Manager and Road Manager by default).

Examples

You have an estate car

Add it with 5 Seats and Cargo space "fits the drum kit". When the next gig is planned, the planner picks it from Members' cars and sees you can take the drums.

Who has a bass amp?

Open the members' Transport & gear tabs and look for an item in the Backline category.

Common mistakes

  • Adding a car without a Make – the row can't be saved. Fill in at least the make.
  • Forgetting to select Save at the bottom of the profile page.
  • Expecting your equipment to appear in the gig's Equipment list. That list is planned separately for each gig.

Troubleshooting

My car isn't offered in Members' cars.
Check that it is saved in your profile under My vehicles. The list only appears for people who can plan logistics.
Saving shows "Please fix the highlighted fields."
A car without a make, or seats outside 1–60, is highlighted. Fix or remove that row and save again.
