Activity log

Administration · See who changed what in the band and when – events, songs, members, roles, settings and more.

What it's for

The activity log is the band's history of changes. Each line shows when it happened, who did it, what they did and to what – for example "Jana updated Event Summer festival". It helps admins find out what happened when something looks different than expected.

When to use it

  • An event, song or setlist was changed or deleted and you want to know who did it.
  • You want to check when someone joined or was removed from the band.
  • You want to see who changed a role's permissions or the band settings.

How to

Look through the history

  1. Open Settings → Activity log.
  2. Read the list from the top: the newest changes come first. Each line shows the date and time (in the band's time zone), the person, the action (created, updated, deleted …), the type and the name.
  3. Select Load more at the bottom to see older changes (50 at a time).

Show only one type of change

  1. Open Settings → Activity log.
  2. Open the list on the right (it shows All changes) and choose a type: Band settings, Member, Role, Seat, Event, Song, Setlist, Announcement or Invitation.
  3. Choose All changes to see everything again.

What appears in the log

  1. Events, songs, setlists, seats, roles, announcements and invitations: created, updated and deleted.
  2. Members: joined, removed, and changes such as a new role or status.
  3. Band settings: every saved change, and the moment the band was created.
  4. Reminders sent for an event, changes to gig logistics, and event-planning polls.
  5. Not in the log: availability answers, lineup assignments, fees and costs, comments, and changes to instruments, genres and tags.

Result: The log shows that something changed, not the old and new values. Open the item itself to see how it looks now.

Permissions and limits

  • Only people with Manage band settings can see the activity log (by default only Band Admin).
  • Nobody can edit or delete entries in the log.
  • System in place of a name means the change was made automatically, or by someone whose account no longer exists.

Examples

A gig disappeared

Filter by Event and look for "deleted" near the gig's name to see who deleted it and when. The event itself can't be restored from the log – create it again.

Common mistakes

  • Looking for availability or lineup changes here – they are not logged. Check the event's availability and lineup pages instead.
  • Expecting reminders and logistics changes under the Event filter – they appear only under All changes.

Troubleshooting

I can't find the activity log.
It is a tab in Settings, which only people with Manage band settings see. Ask a band admin.
A line shows an unusual type name instead of a normal label.
Some newer kinds of changes, such as event-planning polls, don't have a nice label yet. The line is still correct.
