Privacy & your data

Account & settings · See what your bandmates can see about you, download a copy of your data, or delete your account.

What it's for

You decide what you share. Most of your profile is visible to your bands, private details only to admins, and on Privacy & data you can download everything Pulse stores about you or delete your account for good.

When to use it

  • You want to know who can see your phone number, birthday or emergency details.
  • You want a copy of your data, for example for your own records.
  • You are leaving Pulse and want your account removed.

How to

Check what bandmates see about you

  1. Bandmates who can see the member list see your name, stage name, first and last name, photo, About me, nationality, languages, time zone and instruments.
  2. Your contacts and sign-in email are shown only if contact details are shown for that band. Change it in your profile under My bands → Show my contact details to bandmates.
  3. Your date of birth and Emergency info are seen only by you and by people with the See sensitive details (date of birth, emergency info) permission.
  4. Your availability answers are seen by people with See everyone's availability – or by the whole band, if the band setting Who can see individual availability answers allows it. Your earnings are seen by people with See all finances.

Result: More about the profile fields in Your profile.

Download your data

  1. Open the account menu (top right) and select Privacy & data.
  2. Select Download my data.

Result: Your browser saves a file with your profile, contacts, private details, band memberships, instruments, availability answers and rules, lineups, travel and gear, comments, announcements, payouts and notifications. You can open it in any text editor.

Delete your account

You need: If you are the only Band Admin of a band with other members, first give the Band Admin role to someone else.

  1. Open the account menu and select Privacy & data.
  2. Optionally select Download my data first to keep a copy.
  3. Under Delete account, type your email address in the box.
  4. Select Delete my account and confirm with Delete my account.

Result: You are signed out and your account, profile, answers and photo are deleted. Bands where you were the only member are deleted too. Comments and announcements you wrote stay in the band without your name. This cannot be undone.

Permissions and limits

  • Only you can download your data or delete your account.
  • Band admins can't switch off what they see: people with Edit members always see your contacts, and people with See sensitive details (date of birth, emergency info) see your date of birth and emergency info.
  • To leave just one band instead of deleting your account, ask a band admin to remove you – see Members.

Examples

You founded the band and want to leave Pulse

Deleting is blocked while you are the only Band Admin and others are still in the band. Give someone else the Band Admin role on their member page, then delete your account.

You don't want deps to have your number

Set Hide for that band under My bands in your profile. Your bandmates no longer see your contacts; only the admins still do.

Common mistakes

  • Deleting your account when you only wanted to leave one band – deleting removes you from all your bands.
  • Typing a slightly different email address – the Delete my account button stays inactive until the address matches your sign-in email.
  • Putting private things in About me – that field is visible to the whole band.

Troubleshooting

"You are the only admin of: …" is shown.
Make someone else Band Admin in each listed band (or remove the other members), then try again.
Delete my account can't be selected.
Type your sign-in email exactly as shown above the box. Capital letters don't matter.
