What it's for
Pulse speaks English and Czech (Čeština). Your language is one setting: change it in the account menu or under Language in your profile, and Pulse, your emails, notifications and calendar feed all follow it. In the same menu you choose light or dark mode and the colour style.
When to use it
- Pulse opened in the wrong language.
- Your emails or notifications come in a language you don't want.
- The screen is too bright at night, or you prefer a different look.
How to
Permissions and limits
- These settings are personal – they never change what your bandmates see.
- Appearance and Style are remembered by each browser separately. On a new phone or computer, choose them again; if Pulse opens in the wrong language there, choose your language once in the account menu.
- When you first open Pulse, it uses the language of your browser (Czech or English).
Examples
Checking events late at night
Choose Dark under Appearance, or Automatic if your phone already switches to dark mode in the evening.
Common mistakes
- Signing in with your own account on a shared device and switching its language for others – it changes your emails too.
- Expecting Appearance or Style to follow you to another device – they are remembered per browser.
Troubleshooting
- Pulse is in Czech, but my notifications come in English.
- Choose your language in the account menu (or under Language in your profile). The list under the bell switches with you right away; emails and phone alerts that were already sent stay in their original language.
- Why is the sign-in email in two languages?
- Sign-in emails are always written in both Czech and English, because Pulse doesn't know who you are until you sign in.
- Which language does an invitation email use?
- The language chosen in Email language when the invitation was created – the band's default language unless changed.
